Third International Festival of New Jewish Liturgical Music
After two successful seasons in Washington, D.C., this highly acclaimed music festival was a smash hit in Milwaukee. Co-sponsored with Shalshelet - The Foundation for New Jewish Liturgical Music, the Festival was held at Cardinal Stritch University on June 13-16, 2008.See photos of the Festival.

Festival Highlights
- The Shalshelet musicians were hosted at synagogues throughout the community on Shabbat. Some participated in the services and others spoke about their music.
- Several days of workshops were held for the community as well as festival participants.
- The Sunday night concert showcased the music of the Shalshelet composers. Performers included soloists, individual instrumentalists, and a 24-voice choir, directed by Joyce Altman, composed of Milwaukee choristers from groups such as Bel Canto Chorus, Milwaukee Jewish Community Chorale, and Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra Chorus.
