Festival Highlights

  • The Shalshelet musicians were hosted at synagogues throughout the community on Shabbat. Some participated in the services and others spoke about their music.

  • Several days of workshops were held for the community as well as festival participants.

  • The Sunday night concert showcased the music of the Shalshelet composers. Performers included soloists, individual instrumentalists, and a 24-voice choir, directed by Joyce Altman, composed of Milwaukee choristers from groups such as Bel Canto Chorus, Milwaukee Jewish Community Chorale, and Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra Chorus.
