(Re)searching the Bible is an open, pluralistic and non-doctrinaire discussion of the essence of the Hebrew Bible, as interpreted through the ages and in our own times. Individual study groups throughout Wisconsin will study a curriculum of reading the Bible, which will generate discussion, provoke thought, and allow participants to consider the Bible from many, sometimes conflicting, points of view.

The project will unfold over the course of two years in distinct units. In each unit, a single book of the Bible will be the primary focus, with other books included as optional enrichment.

Also included will be lectures by world-renowned scholars, a study Shabbaton, and a study trip to Israel.
