Presenting a Variety of Viewpoints

WSJL believes that interactions between people of diverse backgrounds, when conducted "L'Shem HaShamayim" (for the sake of heaven), are a sign of a healthy society, one which has room for intercultural respect and inter-community cooperation, especially in this age of increasing intolerance.

Scholars who are invited to speak as part of (Re)Searching the Bible will present differing scholarly and religious perspectives in the way they address the Biblical text. In this way, we hope to enhance understanding of each person's cultural and religious perspectives without either validating or discrediting competing viewpoints.

WSJL would like to invite a wide range of speakers during this two-year program. To sponsor or co-sponsor a program, please contact WSJL Executive Director Kathy Jendusa for more information.
